It doesn't look like it's going to last long, but anything is better than nothing at this point. It could rain like this for a week, and I don't think that anyone around here would really complain.
It's even coming down enough that it's dripping off of my (very ugly and half-rotted) garage roof.
Other than that, it's been a normal day around here. Alex's father picked him up (early) and is keeping him overnight, and the other kids and I hung out around the house while I nursed a wicked headache and tried to get some stuff done. We did make a run to the library, so they've been enthralled with their new books and movies all evening, which has led to much peace and happiness.
You could send some of that down here! We got a few sprinkles here, meaning it lasted all of maybe 5 minutes, but we DESPERATELY need more. It's SO humid here, but just not raining.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're getting some much-needed rain...also hoping the headache is better and stays away!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear A's dad has him...hope this is helping A to feel better "about life" in general...
Try to get to bed good time and get some rest! (yes, I know...sounds like a mom...lol!)
Nite...
Mare
I would gladly share my rain with the great desperate state of Texas - but we need our share too. Maybe Sand Creek will recover before wintertime. =/
ReplyDeleteMare, I'm going to try to sleep tonight. Seems like I've almost been sleeping too much lately. But we do have to get up early tomorrow for church and stuff, and I have to trek to Wichita for a first(!) birthday party! Lots of stuff going on, as usual!
:)
