The boys were all into the fishing for about the first 15 minutes. They just can't quite get that whole "you have to sit and be quiet" thing down yet.
They really ended up spending more time playing in the dirt instead.
We got the same fishing spot from when we went camping a few weeks ago, so the scenery was just as beautiful this time as it was before.
Unfortunately for the allergy sufferers, the cotton from the cottonwood trees was thick - in the air and in the water.
So....what did we catch?
Well, I caught a tree limb above our heads - once.
The Dude caught the same branch about 3 times.
As for actual live animals, living in the water - The Dude was the only one who caught anything.
Definitely not the best day for fishing - but it was worth it!
HOW WELL I REMEMBER THOSE DAYS. I LOVE SEEING THE DUDE BEING SO GOOD TO THE CHILDREN. THE SMILES TELL IT ALL.

Glad you enjoyed it!
DeleteYou don't always catch fish when you go fishing. No one does. That's why they call it "fishing" instead of "catching". ;)

Or, as we called it yesterday, "turtling". ;)
