Too busy, and not accomplishing anything.

How does that happen? It seems like I've been running around like crazy for the past few days, but I haven't DONE anything. I hate that.

The kids have had Vacation Bible School this week, so there's been some extra running around for that. But I can't complain because they really enjoy it and they have a great time. Sarah and Emily are helpers this year, so they feel super important. :) One night while they were there...was it last night? I can't remember...anyway, I did some walking while they were all at the church, since I haven't really done much of that lately. I have another 5K coming up in a couple of weeks so I really need to start preparing for that.

Alex and Daniel both had dentist appointments on Monday, and both passed with flying colors!

Of course, I dealt with my usual anxiety while we were there - I swear that my fear of the dentist is just not getting any better. Every time the kids have an appointment, I tell myself that I'm going to schedule one for me - and every time I chicken out and don't do it. But one of these days, I'm going to do it....

Maybe next time. Yeah, that's it. Next time. That'll be in 6 months, and it'll take them a good 6 months to work me into the schedule. And maybe I can convince The Dude to go with me and keep me from freaking out while I'm there.

We all went to the library today, trying to get back into the swing of the summer reading programs. We haven't been in there since we got back from vacation so it was nice to do that again. The kids got treated to a puppet show while we were there and had a blast watching the dancing frogs, skeletons, ducks, and various other animals.

We have been dealing with what some people would call horrible weather - personally I like it, although we do need rain desperately. I like the heat, and I love to be outside in it, but I know that I can't take the kids out for long periods of time so we've been staying inside. However, tomorrow, we are going to the lake. We'll take lots of drinks with us, but we're going and we're going to enjoy it - and hopefully the water will be warm enough that I can actually bear to get in it this time!

I have only two rules - don't reveal anyone's personal information, and be respectful. It's not difficult, honest. Now, go on and play.
