Stuff that I do...

I've had several requests to post items that I make and sell, so I figured that it was time to do something about it! I did it as a separate page rather than a blog post so that it doesn't get buried over time, but I'll be sure to post something whenever I do update this one.

As of right now, here are the canned goods that I have for sale - if you are interested in any of them, let me know. If you're local, you can pick up or I can deliver. Or if you live out of town, I can ship the items to you. I've shipped all of it before and have never had an issue with breakage *knock on wood*.

Sandhill Plum Jelly

This, from what I understand, is a "Kansas thing". The plums are difficult to find, as they only grow in certain areas. I've been told that even if there is a good crop of them in one spot one year, there may be none from the same spot for several years after that. They are a very hit-and-miss thing. Let me tell you, picking them is a job! The bushes are prickly and if you don't wear long sleeves and jeans, you will be ripped to shreds getting them - but the finished product is so worth it!!!

What they look like

The finished product!
Jackpot!!

This is available in 8-ounce jars for $4.00, or 10-ounce jars for $5.00. I only have a limited supply of these, but *might* have more after September.

Applesauce

Hard to get much more "natural" than this - it's made with apples and just a *tiny* bit of water. No sugar, no cinnamon, nothing. You can add sugar to it if you'd like, but my kids practically inhale it just as it is.

Available in 1-quart jars for $6.00 each.

Apple Butter

By far, one of the most popular items - made with apples, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, and just a smidge of water. It cooks in the crockpot for close to two days before it is sealed in the jars, and it is heavenly!!!

Available in 8-ounce jars for $3.00 or 16-ounce jars for $5.00.

I also make a sugar-free version using Splenda instead of sugar - I honestly can't taste the difference!

Sugar-free is currently available in an 8-ounce jar for $4.00.

Pear Butter

Yes, you read that right. Pear butter. Similar to apple butter, but it's made with (wait for it....) PEARS! This one is hard to describe - it's made with pears, sugar, cloves, allspice, nutmeg, orange peel, orange juice, and a smidge of water. The taste reminds me a bit of molasses - it's a 'stronger' taste than the apple butter.

Pear butter is currently available in 4-ounce jars for $2.00, 8-ounce jars for $3.00, and 16-ounce jars for $5.00.

Trick or Treat Bags

New item - just added!!!

Use these cute, sturdy, WASHABLE AND REUSABLE cloth bags for trick or treat, and never have to buy one of those stupid plastic pumpkins with the instantly-breaking handle again.

The bag part itself measures about 10" x 10" x 3". Denim on one side, cotton with assorted Halloween/fall prints on the other, making them reversible.

Bags shown with the "fuzzy" side out.

Same bags, reversed so the "fuzzy" side is inside.

Limited number available for Halloween 2011, but can be ordered for next year. Fabrics may vary according to availability.

$10.00 each
