A peek inside my datebook

I knew I had a lot going on over the next few weeks, and that things were going to start getting crazy this weekend. I had a general idea of how it was going to be tucked away in my head, but then I opened my datebook to make a few notes.

Um, yeah. Wow.

Let me see if I can translate just tomorrow for you.

First thing, I have to get them all up, dressed, and fed and into the van by 7:15 to get the older 3 to school, and then I take off from their school and get Alex to his, and then come back home. That's roughly a 30 mile trip, and usually takes just under an hour with the parking lot wars at the schools. So Daniel and I will be back home just a bit after 8:00.

I usually get online for a bit, check things out, and straighten up a few things. He has to be at preschool at 9:00, but it only takes a few minutes to get there. While he's there, I'll go for a quick run and get back to get him at 11:00 and come home.

We'll leave here at about 11:45 and go grab The Dude and go with him to his chiropractor appointment at noon. Daniel loves to go there because they have a *huge* Thomas the Tank Engine table in the waiting room so he can play for a few minutes while we're there. We'll be back out of there by about 12:15. Daniel does not have his other preschool in the afternoon, so he'll be getting dragged along with me wherever I go.

Alex gets out of school at 1:00 tomorrow, so we'll go pick him up and probably go back home to flip some laundry around and whatever else needs to be done. Then for some reason (I honestly don't remember why) we have to go back to the older kids' school to pick them up at 3:20. (Ex1 usually brings them home, but I have to pick them up. Like I said, I don't remember why, but whatever.) We'll leave here at about 3:00 and get back into town around 3:45ish.

Then we have to go back to Alex's school for a conference, a book fair, and his PTO carnival.

At some point during all of this, I have to find time for lunch and supper, but I haven't quite figured out where that is going to fit in yet. That could be an issue.

Once we finally get home, everyone has to get ready for bed so that we can be up bright and early so that the girls and I can do our 5K Saturday morning. After we are done running, the older 3 are going back with their father, and then The Dude and I will bring Alex and Daniel home. At some point this weekend, I'm planning on totally rearranging the boys' bedroom (along with shampooing the carpet and unbunking the beds) so even after we get home from the race, there won't be much relaxing because that really needs to be done while the older 3 are gone, and I'd like to have most of the day Sunday to lay around and do nothing and watch NASCAR.

I also told the girls that unless their room is clean by the time they go to bed tomorrow night, they are NOT running on Saturday morning. I don't know how I let them get away with trashing their room like it is now, but it WILL be taken care of tomorrow. It's so bad that I don't even want to take a picture of it...I just don't get it, because I know for a fact that their rooms at their father's house are clean and neat at all times.

Realistically, the next 3 weekends are all going to be like this - between the races that I'm doing and the charity walks that we're doing as a family, it's going to be insane. Once I started thinking about it, I realized just how crazy it's going to be. Thanks to a suggestion from someone on my facebook page, The Dude and I started talking about maybe trying to sneak away in a couple of weeks without any kids. (So, for any of my local friends, if any of you would be willing to take the boys overnight the night of May 5, let me know, will ya?)

So yeah, things are going to be hectic - I might not be posting as often...or it might be more because sometimes it's a good stress relief. We'll just have to wait and see what happens at this point. Right now, I'm honestly looking forward to Monday morning!

I have only two rules - don't reveal anyone's personal information, and be respectful. It's not difficult, honest. Now, go on and play.
