Greetings from Altoona!

We made it to my parents' house a little after 11pm last night.

1585.0 miles so far. :)

After a good night's sleep, the kids started painting some little wooden tractors and things that Mom got them (what was she thinking???) and now they're hanging out on the porch swing until lunch. Dad is giving Sarah some tips on how to use her "real" camera and everyone is just chilling.

I made a Sheetz run to get Diet Pepsi and TastyKakes. All is right with the world.

  2. AMY, I LOVE THE PICTURE OF THE HOUSE.IT WOULD BE THE PERFECT MOUNTAIN HOUSE FOR ME IF I HAD A LAKE LOT TO BUILD ON. I'D WANT A FIREPIT ALSO. THE KIDS LOOK LIKE THERE ENJOYING THEIR GRANDPARENTS. LIKE MARE SAID, SAY ALOT OF I LOVE YOU TO THEM. YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. TO BAD YOU DON'T LIVE CLOSER TO THEM.

  4. Thanks ladies! We are having fun! Mom and Dad are handling the visit well, but I am doing my best to try to keep the chaos to a minimum. We just hung around the house today and hiked around outside. I have tons more pictures that I finally was able to get off of my camera and on to a CD, so I may try to post some more pictures tomorrow.

Not sure what the plan is for the next few days yet. Just kind of laying low before we head to our next stop, which is where I actually grew up.I can't wait for that, but that's also the last big stop before we head back to Kansas. :( Boo.

    :)

  6. Thanks Mama Spaghetti! We are having a blast! On the road again tomorrow to the town that I actually grew up in and call "home" - but that's only about a 2 1/2 hour drive. Piece of cake at this point. LOL

    I love to drive....
