My baby is growing up!

Who on earth could NOT love this face?

My baby is 4 years old now. *sigh*

So many things have happened in his 4 short years on this earth, both in his life and around the world. Things have changed. We have changed.

Our family is in such a different place than we were 4 years ago, in so many ways. We are stronger. We are tougher. We are closer.

Sure, we fight. There are days when I threaten to sell them all to the highest bidder. I throw up my hands and tell them that I'm not going to tolerate the way that they're acting anymore, and then they eventually straighten up.

There are the days when everything falls into place and there is no fighting. I treasure those days, right along with the tough ones, because that's all a part of being a parent.

But through it all, good times and bad, I know that we will make it through this crazy life of ours. It's not the life that we had planned, but it's our life.

  2. Isn't that the truth? I could handle if a *few* things went according to plan once in a while though!

I agree that it helps the heart (and sanity) when a few things DO go one's way!
Hope you are having a great day at your house ..

  7. I am right there with you on the whole "life" thing. Life is what happens while we are making plans. I have come to learn that the life we get may not be the life we planned, but it is obviously the life we need to get to where we need to go. I wouldn't change my life for the world because it has made us who we are today!

  8. BrightenedBoy - I know the feeling! I'm the youngest of my siblings, but my neices and nephews are growing up so fast! I don't know if you saw the video that I posted of my nephew surprising my neice at her graduation - I was at the hospital when he was BORN! LOL

Amanda - Glad it worked! I learned that when *I* had a cast and kept scratching myself overnight with it!

Cmom - Exactly! Everything that we have gone through has contributed to what we are today. I wouldn't change a thing!

I have only two rules - don't reveal anyone's personal information, and be respectful. It's not difficult, honest. Now, go on and play.
