A little bit of randomness....

I am always amused by what I find when I pick up my camera. I have a very bad habit of leaving it out where the kids can get to it, and Alex especially loves to take pictures. Of himself. Or his nostrils.

Sometimes he takes a picture of someone else....

Then of course, when I need the camera for something....like, oh, a brown recluse in my kitchen sink:
...I end up having to search for it.

And for the final bit of randomness tonight...

As much as I dislike this house and its location, sometimes it's really fun to just walk to the grocery store to get something for supper...
Yes, Alex dressed himself this morning. I take no responsibility for the shorts that are almost big enough for me to wear, or the socks/crocs combo. He's rockin' out his own style today.

  1. Yeah, I'm not real crazy about them either. But they are very plentiful around here. Blech.

  2. I sincerely hope there are no "bad" spiders around here, because I wouldn't know which ones are truly dangerous. They all end up dead if I see them.

  3. Yikes! (spider) Cute! (Alex in his baggy shorts and socks-with-crocs). Wish we could walk to something besides a convenience store......it's not so much the distance but the hills are killers and they are all uphill on the way back, when you would be carrying stuff. One advantage to living in a place with an unwrinkly landscape. :)

  4. So glad you made it back safely and had such an amazing trip! When do the other kidlets make it back? Will be so nice to be together, BUT, will be a super ACTIVE time, hm??
Made it back home myself late last night and so far behind on blogs (posting and reading!)
    Have a great day!

  5. Tea - the recluse can be pretty nasty - they're easy to spot with the "violin" marking on their backs. Here's an interesting tidbit about them tough - if they are just walking on you, they can't bite you because their jaws aren't strong enough or something. They have to have pressure on their backs in order to bite, which is why people get bitten by them in bed or under their clothes.

MommyMagpie - unwrinkly landscape. LOL I like that one!

Mare, they'll be back in KS late tomorrow night. I talked to their father just a bit ago and I probably won't have them back in my possession until at least Monday. *sigh* I'm going nuts without them.
